Woodland Inn |

The New MotelThe new Motel The Woodland Inn is open for business. It looks great and is certainly a sign that Red River parish is NOT suffering at the hands of the recession. I'm sure that the owners are pleased with the look of the building and how quickly it was built. It was certainly interesting watching it go together. The Motel is built from modules that were built in a factory. The modules were transported here as you would see a mobile home moved. They were then manoeuvred and stacked, clad and roofed. |

New Motel |

The newest building in Coushatta appears to be nearing completion. Woodland Inn Motel should be open soon by the look of things. Last night as I drove past with the family to go and look at the Christmas lights in Natchitoches I could have been mistaken for thinkg that I had arrived in the Christmas Festival city quicker than anticipated. The Woodland Inn being built at the south end of Coushatta was all aglow. It seemed like, as Trace Adkins said, "every light in the house was on" and the place was literally lit up like a Christmas Tree!!! For those readers out of town I will get some pictures and post on here in the near future. Suffice to say this building is 2 storey and contains 51 Motel rooms. I saw a laundry room and drink machines. The parking lot is now black topped and there are flags flying form the flag poles. Its looking good. This certainly is shaping up to be a good addition to the Coushatta skyline and should bring more $$$ into the town. Congratulations go to the investors of John Paul, Gary Holloway and Robert Bethard. Well done! UPDATE: The New Motel is OPEN. Woodland Inn is open. (318) 527-4075 Give them a call. I don't know any prices |
