Senator David Vitter visited Red River Parish at a town hall Meeting in the parish Courthouse. Vitter answered many questions from the locals about many current issues. Local students Darrell McLemore and Tyler Stephens were honored by Chesapeake Energy in their "Discovering Tomorrow's Leaders" contest. The students were honored for their service and leadership. Riverdale Academy, the school that both students attend will receive 2 computers as a result of the award. The students are now in the running for a computer each at the awards banquet to be held in April.
